A high protein sweet tooth fix that actually fits your goals? Sign me up!
If you have been looking for a sweet treat that does not derail your day, these Chocolate Strawberry Frozen Protein Cups are about to become your new go to. They taste like a cross between a chocolate dipped strawberry and a frozen yogurt cup, but with enough protein to support your goals.
This is the kind of dessert I make when I want something cold, creamy and satisfying without feeling like I just face planted into a plate of brownies. 😂
It is simple. It is high protein. It lives in your freezer and saves you during those nighttime cravings.
And the best part. You can make them in about ten minutes and let the freezer do the rest.
Let’s get into it.
Why midlife women love this recipe
There is a lot to love here.
High protein which helps manage cravings
Only about 147 calories per cup
Perfect for busy women who want a treat that still supports their goals
Great for December when you want something sweet but light
Easy to customize with your favorite flavors
These are also freezer friendly which means you can make a batch on Sunday and grab one whenever you need something quick.
Ingredients
Makes 6 cups
1 cup Fage 0 percent plain Greek yogurt
1 scoop Equip Prime Chocolate Protein (or any flavor you love!)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup diced strawberries
3/4 cup Lily’s dark chocolate chips
1 teaspoon coconut oil
How to make them:
Stir the Greek yogurt, vanilla and chocolate protein together until smooth.
Spoon the mixture evenly into 6 silicone muffin molds.
Add strawberries on top.
Melt the Lily’s chocolate chips with the coconut oil until smooth. (I melted in glass container in 30 second increments and stirred in between. It took about 3x.)
Spoon a thin layer of chocolate over each cup. (I sprinkled a bit of sea salt on top)
Freeze until solid. One to two hours for firm. Two to three hours for fully set.
To eat them, let the cup sit for a minute or two or give it a quick five second microwave zap to soften the chocolate. The center stays creamy.

Variations you can try!
Peanut Butter Cup Style
Add 1 teaspoon natural peanut butter or almond butter into the yogurt mixture. Or layer on top. And pour chocolate over the top. Great for healthy fats and a richer flavor.
Raspberry Chocolate
Swap strawberries for raspberries… Raspberries boost the fiber even more.
Mocha Version
Use 1 teaspoon instant coffee mixed into the yogurt and chocolate protein.
Gives you a little bold chocolate coffee flavor. Or try Equip’s Prime Protein in Iced Coffee flavor!
Cookies and Cream
Use vanilla protein instead of chocolate. Stir in a tablespoon of crushed gluten free chocolate cookie crumbs before topping with chocolate.
Banana Split
Add a few thin banana slices under the chocolate shell. Keep frozen for the best texture.
High Protein Upgrade
Add 1 extra half scoop of Equip protein to the yogurt mixture. Your cups will be slightly thicker and higher in protein.
Kids Love These
Swap the chocolate shell for a swirl of melted peanut butter mixed with a little coconut oil.
Freeze until firm. No chocolate needed. (and no chocolate mess! haha)
Tips for success
Silicone muffin molds work best. Easy to pop out. I got mine HERE.
Freeze flat so the chocolate sets evenly.
Store in a freezer bag once they are solid.
If the chocolate top feels too hard, let it sit or warm slightly before biting.
